Anies Encourages All Parties to Collaborate in Facing Pandemic and Disaster

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan encouraged all parties to improve collaboration in facing current pandemic disaster, in order to reduce COVID-19 cases.

Hopefully awards recipients will improve their attention in providing assistance to others

It was stated during Public Dialog which held virtually with theme 'Building Citizen's Active Participation in Preventive Health' in commemorating 9th Anniversary of Rekan Indonesia (Indonesian Health Volunteers) on Saturday (2/27) at Grand Cempaka Hotel Ballroom, Central Jakarta.

"Commemorating 9th Anniversary of Indonesian Health Volunteers, we appreciate social blood donation activity and virtual public dialogue related to advocacy for health services for underprivileged people," he conveyed.

On this occasion, he also expressed his appreciation to health workers, both professionals and volunteers, who have worked hard to help others amid COVID-19 pandemic.

"Health workers' role is very vital as front guard. Their duty is very heavy, regardless of their status as professionals or volunteers. They are heroes for all," he said.

There was also awarding event of Rekan Indonesia Award 2021 to agencies, media, and individuals.

For Agency category, Rekan Indonesia Award 2021 was given to Fatmawati National Hospital (RSPP), Pasar Minggu Hospital (RSUD), Cengkareng Hospital (RSUD), PT. Jakarta Tourisindo, PT. Bank DKI, and PT. Jakpro.

For Media category, awards were given to Chief Editor of Beritajakarta.id and East Java Cakawarta. Whie for Individual category, awards were given to Tiana Hermawan (KPW Rekan Indonesia DKI Jakarta Chairperson) and Susiyanto (KPW Rekan Indonesia Banten Chairperson).

Anies congratulated the recipients of Rekan Indonesia Award 2021 and hoped those 10 awards recipients could continue their passion to serve the community.

"Hopefully awards recipients will improve their attention in providing assistance to others who are affected by disasters," he conveyed.

For information, Rekan Indonesia was established on December 10, 2012 to gather and consolidate health volunteers in Indonesia.

Its general objective is to realize the ideals of August 17, 1945 Proclamation as referred to in Preamble to 1945 Constitution, to Building Pancasila Society in Unitary State of Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) that is healthy, smart, democratic, fair, and prosperous.

Its specific purpose is to gather, build, maintain enthusiasm, and sincerity of community-based volunteer struggle. In addition, fighting for interest in public health and overseeing programs to improve health standard of Indonesian people.

Rekan Indonesia Award is a form of appreciation from Rekan Indonesia to agencies, institutions, and individuals who are considered very concerned about health issues.

Rekan Indonesia Award is held annually to coincide with Rekan Indonesia's birthday on December 10. However, due to COVID-19 pandemic situation, Rekan Indonesia Award for 2020 was held on February 23, 2021.
